Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moravicum of the Dyje Dome. Old abandoned meander of the Dyje River, enveloping an rock island. Typical demonstration of fluvial relief modelling. Outcrops on the rock island consist of orthogneiss (the Bíteš Gneiss). Meso- and microrelief weathering forms, young fluvial and colluvial sediments are formed by sandy loams and gravel. This locality is situated in the National Park Podyjí.
