Short characteristics of the site:
Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. The Jizera development of Turonian sandstones. Sandstone pillar, part of a group of Dračí skály (Dragon Rocks). Northernmost occurrence of the Hrubá Skála sandstones with typical high angle current bedding. Numerous features of castellated rocks area, such as aeroxysts and small rock windows. Well known field trip locality with detailed description of geomorphological features. This locality is situated in the Geopak and Protected Landscape Area Český ráj - the Bohemian Paradise.
