Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned quarry exposing basal Cretaceous conglomerate. It contains pebbles of quartz up to 10 cm across, some gneiss pebbles and flakes of muscovite. This conglomerate is often cemented by ferruginous cement. The conglomerate pass upward into quartzose sandstone. It was proved that above mentioned conglomerate belongs to the marine Cenomanian. Stratigraphically important locality.
