Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
West Carpathians, Eocene, Račany Unit. Outcrops in a channel of the Vsetínská Bečva River. Sandstones are bedded, fine- up to medium-grained, with biogenic detritus. Sandstone layers are positively graded, with ripple bedding. Petromictic conglomerates form several layers in sandstones. Dark calcareous claystones, part of a turbidite sequence, contain nannofossils.
