Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, Turonian. Road cut exposing two separate sections with yellowish calcareous sandy siltstones and silty sandstones. Stratigraphically sediments belong to the Jizera Formation. Paleontologically and stratigraphically important locally. Fossils of gastropods and pelecypods are abundant, bioturbation is common.
