Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubian Central Massif, Melechov Massif. Veins of quartz microgabbro in muscovite-biotite orthogneiss. Orthogneiss is showing planar preferred deformational structures, intensified by planar deformation of plagioclase, micas and quartz. Gabbro vein is up to 200 cm thick, it consists of fine grained groundmass composed of a mixture of plagioclase, hornmblende and chloritized biotite. Also some quartz occurs together with sphene and authigenic apatite.
