Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, Šumava Mts. Complex of old abandoned mining workings, i.e. pits, trenches and flooded quarries.Relics of exploitation of crystalline limestones and pyroxene-garnet skarns. Mineralogically and chemically these skarns differ from nearby common metamorphosed skarns. Biotite paragneiss overlies quarried skarn. This locality is important petrologically because of existence of two skarn types. Also montanistic view can be appreciated.
