Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, Šumava Mts. Series of outcrops, rocky escarpe exposing biotite migmatite with veins of leucocratic microgranite. This locality is of regional importance because it documents different metamorphic processes linked with uplift of deeper parts of crust. Discordantly situated veins of microgranite correspond to younger Variscan stage accompanied by crust expansion.
