Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Brno Massif, eastern parts. metamorphic rocks. Small outcrops along a road consist of fine grained biotite and hornblende-biotite paragneisses locally passsing into amphibolites and erlans. They contain accessoric sphene, magnetite and apatite. Gneisses are migmatized in places. They represent relic of mantle of the Brno Massif.
