Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Carpathian Foredeep, lower Badenian. Abandoned old brickyard. Section about 20 m thick consisting of calcareous clays with admixture of gypsum and baryte. They contain rich macrofaunaand microfauna. Several groups of fossils were described in detail, including microfauna and nannofauna and depositional environment was reconstructed (upper bathyal, depth 200 m - 500 m).
