Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Brno Massif diorite zone. Old abandoned quarry exposing diorites, locally with gabbro character and mylonite zones. Gabbro is serpentinized and oof ultramafic character. Aplite veinles variably oriented penetrate the diorite body.Locally diorite is serpentinized and folded, mylonite zones are abundant. Loess covers part of this quarry.
