Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Barrandian Proterozoic. Series of small rocky outcrops exposing Neoproterozoic volcanics, spilitized grey-greenish basaltic andesites. Their variolitic and pillow lava textures are distinct. Primary basic plagioclase was replaced by albite. Fengitic muscovite is also typical. Numerous secondary minerals in groundmass, such as actinolite, epidote and chlorite.
