Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moravosilesian Palaeozoic, Lower Carboniferous. Small abandoned quarry a sequence of greywackes of the Roztáň Formation. Greywackes are fine- up to medium-grained with interlayers of siltstones and clayey shales. Wavy boundaries between these two lithotypes. Also deeper washout structure with gravel fill on its base is present.
