Geology

Short characteristics of the site: Moldanubicum, Central Pluton magmatites. Nature park Nové Hrady Mts. Summit ridge of the Kamenec Mt. It consists of medium grained biotite granite of the Weinsberg type with porphyric texture. Rock forming minerals: Quartz, plagioclase, potassium feldspar, biotite. Interesting mesorelief forms, common exfoliation phenomena. Traces of cryogenic processes, stone fields, frost cliffs.
