Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Geologically and archeologically extremely important locality.Part of the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, marginal part of a sandstone plain with castellated rocks, old rocky castle, consisting of carved chambers with relics of walls. In 1926 this area suffered catastrophic landslide which destroyed part of Dneboh settlement. Traces of this landslide can be studied up to the present. Cretaceous rocks consist of sandstones of the Hrubá Skála development.
