Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Tertiary volcanics of the Bohemian Massif. Artificial outcrop, relic after limburgite vein rock exploitation. Cretaceous Turonian sandstones were cut by this basanite vein. Rich goethite incrustation rimmed this vein. Goethite was formerly exploited as an iron ore. Radiometric age of this basanite vein is 11 Ma.
