Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. Isolated rock pillar exposing whitish quartzose sandstones. Current bedding, indicating deltaic or submarine dune environment, is abundant. Sandstones are of variable grain size. Nearby hydrogeological drilling reached flyschoid facies and calcareous sandstones of the Teplice Formation.
