Short characteristics of the site:
Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. Hrubá Skála Rock City (castellated sandstones), part of the UNESCO Geopark the Bohemian Paradise. System of sandstone pillars and columns and other attractive relief forms. Two sandstone bodies can be recognized, formed by prograding sandy delta. Erosional contacts and washout textures are filled by deposits of gravitational currents.
