Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, Quaternary gravel. Layer of Pleistocene gravel and sand 70 cm thick. Contact with underlying Cretaceous sandstones is also exposed. Pebble size is 2 -5 cm, maximum size 10 cm. Gravel is of petromictic character with quartz, phyllite, granitoid, mica schist and gneiss pebbles. Gravels are underlain by weathered Cretaceous sandstones and quadersandstones.
