Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. In a railway cut alternation of sandstones and siltstones is exposed, representing flyschoid develoopment of the Teplice Formation. Massive quartzose sandstones occur in the upper part of this section, alternating with clayey sandstones with organic laminae and streaks. Beds ares are slightly tectonically tilted.
