Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Bohemian Cretaceous Basin, Permocarboniferous of the Krkonoše Piedmont Basin. Morphologically distinct ridge with a series of abandoned small shafts in a line 400 m long. Limestones were exploited there only for a local use. Limestone layer is enclosed in reddish silstones and claystones of the Autunian (Early Permian) age. Limestones consist of microsparites and sparites with some bioclasts.
