Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The Permocarboniferous of the Krkonoše Piedmont and Inner Sudetian (Lower Silesian) basins. Greenish and greyish claystones with interlayers of bituminous limestones and bituminous claystones crop out. Carbonate concretions are abundant. The sediments belong to the Rudnice Horizon of the Vrchlabí Formaton.
