Short characteristics of the site:
Abandoned quarry with exposed lava flow. One of lava flows forming a ridge. This flow lies on a neovolcanic basement. Lava exhibits specific disintegration features called sonnenbrand. Also columnar and spherical jointing. Volcanologically significant locality.
