Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Thick (5-8 m) tabular body of melaphyre within sandstones and conglomerates of the Semily Formation (Stephan C). Conglomerates are medium grained, of petromictic up to oligomictic character. Melaphyre body was interpreted as a dyke.
