Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The Permocarboniferous of the Krkonoše Piedmont and Inner Sudetian basins. The outcrop of basaltic andesites of the lower lava flow forming a tabular body within Permian sediments of the Vrchlabí Formation. Melaphyres are of both massive and amygraloidal structure and locally contain fragments of silicified sediments.
