Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The Bohemian Cretaceous Basin - Quaternary. Late Pleistocene valley, tectonically predisposed, formed by a reverse erosion. Basement rock is formed by quadersandstones, siltstones and marlstones. Wetlands of fen bog type. Sandstones are covered by loess deposits and fluvial terrace gravel. The locality is classified as a Nature Reserve in the Protected Landscape Area Česká ráj - the Bohemian Paradise.
