Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The Krušné hory (Erzerbirge) Mts. Crystalline. Outcrops of serpentinite along the feeder channel. Tectonically deliminated lens-like body within tectonically crushed orthogneisses. The only major occurrence of ultrabasites in the Ohře (Eger) crystalline rocks in the Bohemian part of the Krušné hory Mts. This serpentinite was formed by serpentinisation of former peridotite rock.
