Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
West Carpathians, Bílé Karpaty Unit, Eocene-Paleocene. Road cut exposes sediments of the Nivnice Formation. Flysch sediments are fossiliferous. Paleocene-Eocene boundary beds are exposed there. Sediments yelded numerous marine fossils and so important P/E event could be investigated. Nature Monument.
