Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
West Carpathians, limestone cliff. Separate outcrop with adjacent abandoned quarry, erosional relic of a limestone klippen belt. The Ernstbrunn Limestone is bioclastic, brecciated, of the Tithonian up to Hauterivian age. This cliff together with surrounding ones represents part of a klippen belt separated from underlying rocks and emplaced into overlying nappe. Interesting calciphile vegetation. This locality is protected as a Nature Monument in the Protected Landscape Area.
