Short characteristics of the site:
This locality is represented by a series of rocky outcrops along slopes of a depression called the Truskavecký důl. The whole section can be subdivided into two sequences of the Jizera Beds. They are of the Middle and Upper Turonian age. Quartzose sandstones predominate, some layers are richer with silt and clay admixture. In upper parts of the section the amount of carbonate matrix increases. Graded bedding is typical for some sandstone beds. In basal parts of some beds gravel admixture occurs.This locality belongs to the Bohemian Cretaceous Basin.
