Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. Medium grained quartzose sandstones of quadersandstone character of the Jizera Formation (Middle Turonian). Coarsening-upward sequence. Underlain by fine grained clayey sandstone covered by loamy residue. Topmost parts are hidden below loess and slope deposits of Pleistocene up to Holocene ages.
