Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. Rocky outcrops consist of medium grained up to coarse grained quadersandstons of the Jizera Formation. In their upper parts abundant ironstone (limonite) layers occur. Sandstones are intensively mechanically weathered, disintegrated, their surface is covered with aeroxysts. Brownsoil cover.
