Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
This locality lies near to the Brno water dam in form of rocky outcrops and abandoned quarry. Lower part of the outcrops is formed of reddish and brownish conglomerates of the Rokytná facies of the Permian (the Autunian) of the Boskovice Graben. They are overlain by sandstones of the Rokytná Facies of the Rokytná Formation of the Lower Carboniferous (the Autunian). On the sequence top there are the Vilémovice Limestones of the Macocha Formation (the Middle Devonian). Along an educational trail abandoned quarry occurs witgh exposed oligomictic Rokytná Conglomerates with prevailing Cul greywacke clasts. Geologically this locality belongs to the Boskovice Graben area. This locality is classified as a Nature Monument.
