Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moravicum, Proterozoic. Orthogneiss tor of the Bíteš Group, called Žižkův stůl (the Žižka Desk). Orthogneiss is porphyroblastic, muscovite and muscovite-sericite. Isolated tor has been modelled by cryogenic processes. Adjacent slopes are covered by blocky scree. Nearby frost cliff 8 m high, and pseudokarst caves are also present. Nature Monument, protecting periglacial relief and vegetation with elm.
