Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The Bohemian Cretaceous Basin. The basement consists of Permian claystones and siltstones. They are overlain by Cretaceous deposits, formed by Cenomanian sandstones, Lower Turonian claystones and silty marlstones (opuka). Silty marlstones are exposed at a steep cliff at a foot of which there are massive blocky talus deposits. National nature reserve.
