Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Approx. +120 m long outcrop in railway cut between railway stations Kyje and Ploužnice. The upper layer of Ploužnice Horizon is exposed here in typical development: variegated clayey mudstones, claystones and siltstones with limestone and tuffaceous interbeds and locally present cherty nodules (mostly reddish = carnelians, some grey). Fossil plant and animal remains have been found locally.
