Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Svratka Crystalline. Old abandoned pit quarry showing crystalline dolomitic limestones, formerly expoited for building and decoration purposes (so called "white Studnice marble"). Limestones are strongly karstified, some karst caves were discovered during quarrying. Mineral association in these limestone is very interesting, antigorite, olivine and tremolite were found. Outcrops in nearby quarry indicate that inclined limestone body merges down under biotite gneisses.
