Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, Polička Crystalline. Abandoned shelf quarry exhibiting metamorphic and deformed magmatic rock of diorite composition. Fine grained ground mass contains feldspars as large as 3 mm. Typical mineral association. Quartz - plagioclase - hornblende - biotite. Also accessoric sphene is present, recnogizable by naked eye (up to 1 mm large crystals). This locality belongs to the Protected Landscape Area.
