Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, metamorphic units. Abandoned shelf quarry exposing intrusive durbachite bodies. They can be classified as hornblende-biotite quartzmonzonites. Porphyric texture is clear, also twins of potassium feldspars can be found. Cleavage and foliation of rocks were studied. Small xenolith of biotite gneiss can be observed on one of the quarry walls.
