Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, metamorphic units. Active quarry exposing stromatitic biotite magmatites. Their bodies are only slightly inclined. Migmatites contain greater amount of sillimanite which is being alternated into muscovite. Ptygmatic folding of migmatites can be observed. Some quartz lenses with turmaline also occur. Steeply inclined fracture zones cut migmatite body.
