Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, Třebíč and Jihlava massif. Large two-level active quarry where two main rock types can be observed: Ophtalmitic migmatites and intrusive gabbrodiorites up to gabbroamhpbolites. Third type is represented by calcitic and silicic rocks of erlan type. Migmatites prevail in this quarry, they contain typical feldspar augen up to 3 mm in size. This locality belongs to the Protected Landscape Area Žďárské vrchy.
