Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Krkonoše-Jizera crystalline. Nature monument. Jizera River cuts through a small massif of the albite granite. Thus canyon with 40 m high rocky walls and pillars was formed. In the 19th century the gorge was artificially broadened and weir constructed as a water source for a local power station.
