Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The top of the Kumburk hill (642 m a.s.l.) is formed by olivinic basalt grading locally to chimney breccia. Xenolittes of Upper Palaeozoic and Cretaceous sediments are present as well as crystals of augite, amphibole, magnetite and pyrite.
