Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
The rocky outcrop exposing coarse grained clastic sediments of the Nýřany Beds. The conglomerates and sandstones with gravel admixture prevail in their sequence. The sandstones can be classified as subarkoses. The conglomnerates contain clasts of quartz, quartzose sandstone, granite, gneiss and siltstone. The sandstones display current bedding with deeply cut channels. They were possibly deposuited by braided rivers. This locality belongs to the Central Bohemian and West Bohemian Late Paleozoic.
