Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Small quarry exposing metabasite rock. This fine grained rock, primary glassy, consists of plagioklase, chlorite, epidote and actinolite. Titanite is only accessoric. Microscopically, this rock is finely folded, with veinlets of dull Mg-chlorite, clinozoisite and quartz admixture. Described rock is of Proterozoic age and belongs to the Barrandian Zone.
