Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubian magmatites. Natural outcrops along topmost parts of the Pořežín Hill. Medium- up to coarse-grained granites up to granodiorites crop out there. Their texture is porphyric, potassium feldspar phenocrysts are as large as 6 cm. Granodiorites exhibit preferred orientation based mostly on elongated feldspar crystals. Also small body of biotite-muscovite granite is present near the hill top.
