Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, metamorphic units. Relics of medieval mine workings after exploitation of silver-bearing polymetallic ores in the Stříbro mining district. Preserved galllery is in brownish medium grained stromatitic migmatites with folded bands of quartz-feldspar leucosome and biotite melanosome. Fissures are filled by light fine grained biotite-muscovite granite, aplite and pegmatite. Mineralization is represented mainly by silver-bearing galena and sphalerite. Mineralized veins are intensively altered into iron oxyhydrosides.
