Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Kutná Hora - Svratka Crystalline. Abandoned vegetated quarry exposing a contact of amphibolite and surrounding biotite migmatite. Both rocks are a part of the Oheb Crystalline. Amphibolite is fine grained, dark green, with prevailing hornblende, quartz, plagiopclase and clinozoisite. Migmatite is intensively deformed and contains quartz, plagioclase, biotite, muscovite, potassium feldspar and common accesssories.
