Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Košťálov, at c. 489 m near to Želechy creek. Active big quarry. Mostly massive hard andesitoide with nodules and veins of pectolite, rare amethyst, zeolites, palygorskite etc. According to Schovánková (1989) subvolcanite body approx. 100 m thick (a sill). A rubbish dump is in the lower old part of the quarry.
