Geology
Short characteristics of the site:
Moldanubicum, metamorphic units. Šumava Mts. Nature monument. Outcrops along Vydra River canyon, also boulders in a river bed. Rocks consist oof stromatitic biotite migmatite which contains also sillimanite, cordierite and accessoric garnet. Magnetic susceptibility and radioactivity were measured and data are available. Large potholes occur on boulders and blocks in river bed.
